10 Food Events in November


Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and there are plenty of places to go (and even more things to eat) in Orlando this November. From gardening classes to wining and dining, read on to see what’s happening this month.

  1. Edible Orlando and Bloomingdale’s Chic Chef Series continues on November 8th at 5:30pm. This time around, Chef Maria Rivera of Sobremesa (pictured at right) will teach you how to make holiday dishes worthy of your gourmet gatherings.

  2. Second Harvest Food Bank is hosting a Do Good Date Night on November 9th from 7-9:30pm. Help out in their warehouse and then end the night with a community Thanksgiving feast.
  3. On Sunday, November 11th at 6:30pm, The Ravenous Pig is showcasing Beaujolais wine, along with well-paired cuisine.
  4. Brunch for a cause on November 11th from 11am-3pm at Celery City Craft. 10% of proceeds will benefit the Picnic Project. This pop up will feature The Smiling Bison and The Tennessee Truffle.
  5. A Taste of Dr Phillips is happening on Sunday, November 11th from 1pm-4pm. The event includes beer, wine, and food from over 25 of Orlando’s best restaurants.
  6. Try a new brew with hops harvested from trials at the UF/IFAS Orange County Extension Office (harvest pictured above). Tasting event is at Redlight Redlight on Wednesday, November 14th at 5pm, and 1$ of every beer sold goes back into Extension programming.
  7. ABC is having a wine tasting on November 14th at 6pm. Sample over 50 wines and spirits throughout the night and receive 15% off any purchases made the night of the event.
  8. Bull & Bear hosts a bourbon experience on November 15th from 4-6pm. This event is for beginners wanting to learn about bourbon, and aficionados who already adore it.
  9. Learn how to select and grow berries in your backyard garden on Thursday, November 15th from 6:30-8pm. The UF extension of Orange County is hosting a month long Florida-Friendly Landscaping Program.
  10. Fusion Fest takes place on November 24th and 25th, and is celebrating diversity at its International Food Court. There will also be art, fashion, dancing, and more.
