10 Orlando Food Events in February


February is a time for love, and in our book that includes affection for food and fun as well as that special someone. There are opportunities all over Orlando in February to enjoy good food, to learn how to garden and to support worthy causes, so get out there and show some local love.

  1. February 22 through March 5, guests who attend Carnevale at Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante at Disney Springs will get a front-row seat to nightly live entertainment including singers, stilt walkers, jugglers, mimes, face painters and folk dancers, while indulging in the restaurant’s signature Italian cuisine.
  2. Eat some sweets and feel good while doing it. The American Cancer Society is hosting Sweet Wars on February 7th, and invites you to come sample and vote on some delicious treats. All funds raised from the event will benefit the American Cancer Society.
  3. Pair a good book with good food at Dinner & a Story at DaJen Eats on February 10th. There will be a book discussion on The Hate U Give, as well as a hearty vegan dinner.
  4. Get ready for the 6th annual Field to Feast Dinner, hosted by Walt Disney World and Edible Orlando on February 23rd. Take a tour of Long & Scott Farms, while sampling locally sourced food with beer, wine, and cocktail pairings. 100% of proceeds benefit the Kids Cafe Program of Second Harvest Food Bank.
  5. Join the UF Extension Seminole County on February 23rd for the 9th Annual Seminole County Garden Expo. Learn the basics of hydroponics, vegetable, and butterfly gardens. Plus, enjoy speakers, food, and art!
  6. OnFebruary 23rd and 24th, the 11th annual Downtown Food and Wine Fest is coming to Lake Eola in downtown Orlando. With food from over 30 local restaurants, 50 different wines, and live entertainment, the event is sure to sell out, so get your tickets ASAP!
  7. The Orange County Public Library has a culinary event on February 12th. Chef Yamira Lee Johnson will teach couples how to cook healthy food for two.
  8. On February 28th Edible Education Experience is hosting a Chef Night with Black Rooster Taqueria. Chef John Calloway will be preparing tacos and guac and demonstrating his cooking skills.
  9. Learn the basics of composting on February 27th with the UF Extension Orange County.Bring your own veggie scraps and learn how to compost in your own backyard.
  10. Save the date for the International Cuban Sandwich Festival in Kissimmee, because it’s coming up fast! On March 2nd enjoy live music and plenty of Cuban sandwiches, and decide who makes the best one in Orlando.
