Chef Kevin Dundon to Showcase Modern Irish Food During Raglan Road’s St. Patrick’s Festival

What comes to mind when you think about Irish cuisine? Shepherd’s Pie and Irish Stew, probably, but Chef Kevin Dundon would add to that list exponentially. As the culinary powerhouse behind Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant at Downtown Disney, the host of the PBS series, “Kevin Dundon’s Modern Irish Food,” and the author of five cookbooks, Dundon has devoted his 28-year career to broadening people’s experience of Irish food.

This month, he’ll demonstrate his epicurean savvy during two signature dining events scheduled in the midst of the Raglan Road’s Mighty St. Patrick’s Festival, March 7-17.

Kevin Dundon book jacket imageA “Modern Irish Food” demonstration lunch is slated for March 12 at 1 p.m. in the Grand Dining Room at Raglan Road and will feature four lunch courses paired with wine ($49.94 plus tax and gratuity).

On March 13 at 6:30 p.m., Dundon will entertain guests at “The Raglan Road Cookbook” signature dinner, an evening filled with five courses and wine pairings ($115 plus tax and gratuity) all centered around Dundon’s delectable twists on Raglan Road’s popular cuisine.

Though both the March lunch and dinner are sold out, Dundon will return in June to host his annual Midsummer Dinner welcoming the summer solstice and again for a signature dining event during the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.

Throughout the Mighty St. Patrick’s Festival, Raglan Road and Downtown Disney will celebrate with a lineup of guest bands, Irish dancing, children’s activities, face painting and “wearin’ of the green.” Visit raglanroad.com for more information.
