It’s an Orlando rite of passage to walk all of Epcot in search of the best bites during the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, but for those who’d prefer to indulge in the world’s finest flavors at a more leisurely pace this fall, Waldorf Astoria Orlando offers Food & Wine Weekends from September 14 through November 11. Both overnight guests and visitors can enjoy a range of experiences, from multi-course “taste of” menus at Bull & Bear, La Luce and Zeta Asia on Friday and Saturday evenings, to a complimentary interactive cocktail class at Peacock Alley on Saturdays at 4:30 p.m. From 6:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m. on Saturdays, a sumptuous array of chocolates, patisserie and bubbly is available a la carte at the Bar du Chocolat and Champagne Tasting.
At a recent media event, we enjoyed a sampling of these sweet treats along with tasting portions of each of the restaurant menus. Highlights included a filet of beef served with lobster tail stuffed with brioche and Iberico ham from Bull & Bear ($125 for five courses); short rib bibimbap from Zeta Asia ($35 for four courses); and risotto with shrimp and scallops from La Luce ($55 for four courses).
The resort offers complimentary transportation to and from Epcot for those who want to walk off all those wonderful calories.
