The Florida Film Festival returns April 4 – 13 with its mammoth collection of more than 170 feature and short films from more than two-dozen countries. The 10-day affair will also host celebrity guest appearances, forums and parties, including a few that foodies ought to note.
On Saturday, April 5, from 11am to 12:30pm, Enzian will bring Central Florida farms to the big screen during Locally Fresh! The event will include tastes from Lake Meadow Natural Farms, Palmetto Creek Farms, Olde Hearth Bread Co., and East End Market. Tickets are $11.
After the screening, guests are encouraged to head to the lawn by Eden Bar for a farmer’s market when they’ll be able to chat with local farmers and purchase goods to take home.
The popular Italian Cinema Night returns on Monday, April 7 when two Italian films will be screened (Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion at 6:30pm and Cheatin’ at 9:30pm) alongside a free tasting of Italian fare at Eden Bar’s fountain area at 8pm. Film tickets are $11 each.
Finally, Whole Foods will once again host its free tasting reception giving guests the chance to sample bites from a delicious spread of organic appetizers. This event, which begins at 8pm on Tuesday, April 8, is free and open to the public.
