There are hundreds of ways to combine fresh fruits and veggies to make delicious and healthy juice, but it’s easiest to start with a recipe. We found these simple juice recipes by Juice Guru Steve Prussack in Chamberlin’s Healthy Edge Magazine. Not only are they perfect for getting you started, they’re loaded with seasonal spring produce like carrots, cabbage, tomatoes and peppers. Try the basic recipes first, then tweak to your taste by swapping lemon for lime, or Swiss chard for kale for example. Juice Guru Daily Classic

makes three one-cup servings

1 stalk celery, chopped

2 cups chopped kale leaves

3 cucumbers, quartered

1 lemon, peeled and halved

1 1/2-inch piece ginger, peeled and sliced

1 red bell pepper, cored and seeded

1 tomato, quartered

In a juicer, process in this order: half the celery, kale, cucumber and lemon; then ginger; then remaining kale, cucumber and lemon. Whisk and serve.

Juice Guru Cleansing Juice

makes three one-cup servings

6 medium or large carrots

4 red apples, cored and sliced

1 1/2-inch piece ginger, peeled and sliced

In a juicer, process in this order: half the carrots, half the apples all of the ginger, then remaining carrots and apples. Whisk and serve.
