New Online Marketplace Showcases Local Artisans

Updated: Parlor & Pantry is no longer in operation.

Inspired by the growing interest in locally-sourced and handcrafted products, Parlor & Pantry offers a range of handmade artisan products from baked goods to bath products.

All vendors on the site are from hand-selected small businesses in the greater Orlando area–no franchises or imports are allowed. “It’s all about keeping it in the community,” explains Richie Frost, founder of Parlor & Pantry. “We think there’s something special about buying a unique product, made right here in Orlando. Our vendors pour their hearts and souls into their work, all the way down to the handmade packaging. You just can’t get that kind of attention to detail with big-brand names.”

Split into two distinct sections, the Pantry portion of the website offers food items and beverages from cottage bakeries and small kitchens, while the Parlor focuses on housewares, beauty products and other non-edible items. Customers can either pick up items locally at no charge, or have them shipped for a small fee.

Current vendors include Merci Bakery in Winter Park (floral sugar cookies pictured at right); Do Tell Calligraphy & Designs in Colonial Town; Naked Bar Soap Co. bath and beauty products in College Park; Market-to-Table Cuisine in Winter Garden; and Brown Mouse Clay in Longwood (red lotus dish pictured above).
