Orlando’s Earth Day Events

The whole world will commemorate Earth Day on April 22 with events and celebrations designed to raise awareness and support for environmental issues. Here on our own turf, a handful of community events give Orlando locals the chance to join in the festivities.

Central Florida Earth Day 2014
This 9th annual event, presented by Vegetarians of Central Florida, will present speakers, food preparation demonstrations, environmental education workshops, live music and play zones for the kids.

Party for the Planet
Special activities and educational opportunities, as well as events to celebrate the premier of Disneynature’s newest film Bears (opening April 18), will make the a must event for families. Earth Day will also be celebrated at Epcot, focusing on marine animals at The Seas Pavilion.

Four films, including Trashed and Shored Up, will be screened throughout the day.
