Photos: Spring Issue Party at Shantell's Cafe

Edible Orlando editors, contributors and friends gathered in Historic Downtown Sanford on Tuesday Night along with people spotlighted in the Spring Issue.  The evening’s hostess was “cover girl” Shantell Williams, and the venue was Shantell’s Cafe. Using ingredients provided by Olde Hearth Bread Company, Wild Ocean Seafood Market, Lake Meadow Naturals and White Pastures, Williams treated the crowd to the classic soul food dishes that have kept the customers lining up since she opened her doors last fall.  Comments from the crowd included “Best collards I’ve ever had,” “This is how Aunt Louise did her mac and cheese,” and  “Just like my grandma’s fried chicken.” Williams own grandma (and grandpa) were at the party too, and she gave them plenty of reasons to be proud.
