This Saturday, the Orange County Extension office and several recent graduates of the Master Food and Nutrition Volunteer Program will come together to offer a free, half-day educational event focused on nutrition.
This hands-on, interactive expo will provide a variety of sessions for attendees to choose from, including workshops in cooking and gardening.
“Our goal is to help families eat at home more and eat more nutritiously,” says Luann Duncan, coordinator for the Master Food and Nutrition Volunteer Program. “There will be food demos and classes in nutrition and food safety. Hopefully, everyone will go home with new ideas and with the inspiration to eat more fresh and local food.”
