Florida strawberry season is at its peak January through March, and this booze-free mocktail recipe from Tapa Toro gives pride of place to strawberry puree. To make the puree, simply process fresh Florida strawberries in a blender to the desired consistency. Leftover puree will keep in the fridge for a few days.
1.5 ounces of fresh strawberry puree
4 ounces of ginger beer
2.5 ounces of Sprite
1 squeeze lime
1 fresh or dehydrated orange slice
Combine first four ingredients in a glass with ice. Stir gently to combine, and garnish with orange slice.
