The biggest, most authentic celebration of St. Patrick’s Day awaits revelers at the annual Raglan Road Mighty St. Patrick’s Festival March 15-17 at Disney Springs – three full days of fun.
While we look forward to the cuisine, craft beers and cocktails, it’s the musicians from Ireland that really give this celebration its edge. One of Celtic rock’s hardest working bands, the Young Dubliners, headlines the party, with nine bands in all joining the talented Raglan Road troupe of Irish dancers (pictured above) to feature non-stop entertainment from mornings to late nights. Even kids get in on the fun, invited onstage for impromptu dance lessons. (Go to raglandroad.com for a complete entertainment schedule.)
As you can imagine, Raglan Road is packed on March 17, St. Patrick’s Day, so it’s first-come, first-served with a $10 cover charge for each guest age 18 and older. You can make a res on March 15 or 16 by calling 407-938-0300.
Go for classic Irish eats like fish n’ chips or Guinness-infused Bangin’ Bangers and Mighty Mash, or go fancy with In Cod’s Way – pan-seared north Atlantic cod with lemon and herb crushed potatoes, garden peas with tomato and caper butter sauce. One of our longtime favorites is the pub’s loin of bacon and cabbage, the authentic Irish dish of St. Patrick’s Day. The chef is sharing his Heavenly Ham recipe—it takes a little time, but it’s worth it.
