Here are some quick tips for fun food events this week including steins, schnitzel, and scary fare.

Don’t let the pre-lit Christmas trees for sale at Costco fool you—October is the next big month for celebrating, and the season for scares, steins, and schnitzel is already in full swing.

Great food is a celebration in itself, so if you want to enjoy amazing global cuisine around Central Florida or hire a personal chef to create your perfect celebration, check out the Culinary Superstars in our current issue! From Indian to Mexican to Mediterranean to sushi, Orlando truly has it all.

Universal’s Halloween Horror nights runs through November 4, and when you’re not busy screaming your brains out in The Last of Us house you can stuff your face with the likes of the cordyceps corndog pictured up top (a giant Korean corndog with potato sticks, daikon sprouts, mozzarella, and truffle cream sauce), a peanut blooder smash burger (two patties with raspberry jelly, peanut sauces, onions, cheese, and jalepeños on “vampire brioche”), or sour apple pie funnel fries.

Enjoy a keg tapping, live music from Jimmy and Eckhard, and specials by Chef Patrick.
