Sister Honey’s
Ten blue ribbons lining the walls attest to Evette Rahman’s baking skills at Sister Honey’s, a gem in Orlando’s SoDo on south Orange Avenue. “I started entering the National Pie Championships in Celebration in 2006,” says Rahman, who features a made-fresh selection of at least a dozen pies and cakes (available whole or by the slice), plus cup-cakes, cookies and bars in her little pink-and-yellow retail space. Besides prize-winning pecan, apple rhubarb, and chocolate cream pie, all made with the help of her husband Andy, fan favorites include pecan-streusel-topped pumpkin harvest pie and coconut cake, which can break hearts when it runs out. 247 E.
