Here are some quick tips for fun food events in Orlando this week including FusionFest, Miracle on Orange, and a doughnut run.
Thanksgiving is behind us now, and other than the leftovers, it’s time to turn to candy canes and … Parmigiano Reggiano? Miracle on Orange is back as The Courtesy in Winter Park redecorates and rebrands once again for the Christmas season. Custom cocktails this year include Elfing Around #2 (cognac, mulled wine reduction, champagne, lemon, bitters, absinthe) and Marshmallows and Unicorns (gin, vanilla liqueur, velvet falernum, cherry liqueur, cardamom, black pepper, marshmallow, lemon, egg white, tiki bitters, soda). Miracle on Orange continues through Dec. 30 and online reservations are a good idea. Forgotten Tonic in St. Augustine is also rebranding as a “Miracle” bar through Jan. 14.
Saturday, Nov. 25
A literal world of food is coming to Downtown Orlando both Saturday, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., and Sunday, 12 – 5 p.m., for FusionFest on the Seneff Arts Plaza and The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. The multicultural celebration of art, music, and food features culinary stalls from around the globe – from Nigeria to Germany and Ukraine to Puerto Rico. FusionFest also includes arts and crafts, music, dance, and other cultural displays from Central Florida residents. Admission is free.
Sunday, Nov. 26 
Would you go for a run to get a free doughnut? Organized by Track Shack for the second and fourth Sunday of each month, you meet at The Salty on Corrine Dr. at 8 a.m., run around Audubon Park, and the first 60 registered runners get a free doughnut at the end.
Wednesday, Nov. 29
If you’re a fan of stout beers and bourbon, Wekiva Island is hosting a vertical beer tasting of Goose Island Bourbon County beers, 6 – 8 p.m., – meaning you’ll sample the bourbon barrel-aged stout production from 2020 through 2023, as well as a surprise vintage. Goose Island rep will be there and Without a Paddle Café will provide a food pairing. Reservations are required and a ticket is $50.
Friday, Dec. 1
Moving from beer to wine, The Venetian Chop House at Carib Royal Orlando is hosting a five-course dinner featuring Copper Cane Wines & Provisions in the Napa Valley. The tasting menu from Executive Chef David Hackett includes duck rillette ravioli, shrimp bisque arrabiata, salad with green tea-poached pear, espresso-basted spinalis (ribeye cap) roulade, and a sweet cherry pavlova with spice-whipped chocolate ganache. The meal starts at 6 p.m. and tickets are $125 before tax and fees.
And from wine to liquor, Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs is celebrating a century of Suntory whisky with exclusive tastings on both Friday and Saturday with different labels each night. On Friday, it’s a Yamazaki 25 year, Yamazaki 18-year Mizunara 100th Anniversary, and Yamazaki 12-year 100th Anniversary bottles. On Saturday, it’s Hibiki 30-year, Hakushu 18-year Peated Malt 100th Anniversary, and Hakushu 12-year 100th Anniversary bottles. The kitchen will also be preparing three small bites and Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto will be in town to visit the tastings. Tickets start at $355 before taxes and fees.
